Silicone-Epoxy is a new generation pool finish that
gives you options never before available. If you are
looking for an epoxy swimming pool paint or fish
pond coating that is longer lasting, low odor,
produces a nontoxic finish, requires no mixing,
holds up to pool chemicals, is easy to use,
acceptable for use on fiberglass, plastic, aluminum,
tile, masonry or concrete or and that is available
in 100 colors plus clear look no further – you came
to the right place. This revolutionary epoxy pool
paint provides superior adhesion and higher
flexibility (conforms to ASTM-6221 and ASTM 6222)
than any other swimming pool or pond paint
regardless of the manufacturer. Retains its color up
to five times longer!
Sure you say – but will it last? You bet! You can
expect more than seven years of maintenance free
service when you choose Life Guard Silicone-Epoxy.
Unlike typical epoxy pool paint it has a silicone
alkyd base fortified with epoxy-ester which produces
unequaled adhesion, superior UV resistance and
tremendous flexibility which prevents cracking,
peeling and seepage. It is economical and easy to
use! Anyone that can roll up their sleeves can apply
it without the difficulty of mixing multiple
components together or hassle of limited pot life
associated with it. It is less likely to chalk, fade
or yellow like old fashioned two-component epoxy
making it a favorite of D-I-Y and professional pool
refinishers.
A self leveling formula that is self priming on many
surfaces. Hardness, scuff resistance and chemical
resistance are comparable to two-component epoxy –
but the no-mix formula is a whole lot easier to use.
It prevents seepage of water in pools and ponds.
Resists saltwater, chalking, chipping and peeling,
alkali (from concrete or plaster), swimming pool
chemicals, growth of algae and molds, minimizes
collection of iron and dirt and is easy to clean. It
is economical to use because it spreads two times
further than comparable pool paint products. May be
brushed, rolled or sprayed and it cleans up easily.
Allows cold weather applications down to 40F.

Stats:
Covers 425-450 square feet per gallon when brushed
or rolled and 600+ square feet when sprayed on non
porous surfaces. Dry to the touch in 2-4 hours. Pot
life: Not applicable. Very high in solid content so
it will require dilution in most applications.
Custom colors available on request for an additional
$10.00 per gallon. For added slip resistance in
traffic areas add 1 lb Tred-Tex or Gaco-Grip.
Available in one gallon and five gallon containers
satin and gloss finishes.
Recommended preparation:
See
application instruction sheet for details.
Primer:
Primer is recommend on all bare surfaces. Recommend
TS-664 Etching Primer on hard to coat surfaces such
as Gunnite, plastic, aluminum, fiberglass and
composite materials.
Thin & clean up:
Use only with factory recommended thinner, TS-605
Thinner. Clean all equipment thoroughly with TS-605
Thinner or Acetone.
Accelerate/Harden:
TS-160 Accelerator/Hardener improves resistance to
pool chemicals, increases hardness and speeds the
dry and cure times. Its use is required in all
applications where there is motorized or heavy foot
traffic.
NOTE: Our performance warranty is not a guaranty of
color fastness. Please understand that pool
chemicals and UV rays combine to reduce the
effectiveness of even the highest quality resins,
colorants and anti-fading ingredients. Dark colors
fade sooner than lighter colors. When dark colors
are desired, we recommend ordering a shade or two
darker with the understanding that colors will
lighten with time.
