TS-6390 2-Part Epoxy Primer Two-Component Polyamide Epoxy Primer is a catalyst cured epoxy primer for swimming pools formulated to provide outstanding adhesion, hardness, durability and resistance to pool chemicals, acids, alkalis, solvents, salt and corrosion over a variety of substrates. It produces an incomparably hard finish that has unequaled resistance to pool chemicals making it a favorite with contractors. It is specially formulated to out perform all one-part primers on concrete and metal substrates. Use it it in high traffic, high abuse areas or where pool or other harsh chemicals are present. Provides a sound base for any Life Guard Swimming Pool Paint product. Recommended for use on ferrous metals, prepared steel and plaster substrates. Suitable for use on both interior and exterior pool surfaces. It provides good performance and durability for many years. Stats: Available as either a one or two gallon kit. Covers 300 square feet per gallon. Dry to the touch in 3-4 hours, tack free in 8 hours, recoat in 24 hours. Pot life is 8 hours @ 70 degrees F. Recommended preparation: For best results follow application instructions sheet provided with order. Remove old swimming pool paints, loose scale, grease, oil and contaminates. Sand, grind, bead blast or power-wash prior to the application of any swimming pool cleaner or primer. Etch concrete, gunnite and aluminum with TS-695 Etching Cleaner. For added slip resistance in traffic areas add Gaco-Grip, Tred-Tex or aluminum oxide to the primer coat for a non skid surface. Thin & clean up: Thinning not typically required. Use only with factory recommended thinner, TS-605 Thinner. Clean all equipment thoroughly with TS-605 Thinner.
